Winner of the Europa now qualifies for champions league. Fulham & Boro have made the final in the past decade....theoretically this is the only English comp we stand a punchers chance of actually winning - obviously Allardyce reduces this chance, but surely he would love to finish his managerial career bragging to his northern chums about proving us lot wrong....? stranger things have happened.

Indeed chim, every team needs players that are happy to be second string or off the bench. I'm sure he wanted to play every game of course, but within a squad certain players will realise that they will not be starting every week.

Joey O'Brien has done a good job wherever he's been played. He's a proper unsung hero at West Ham. In our current position it's unreasonable to believe a better player than him would agree to sit on the bench ready to fill in at left back, right back or anywhere in midfield.
